So, you've heard the buzz, UMEC is growing and going into exciting unchartered territory.  Be a part of the organization--get involved! 

We need two very creative and driven people to head up the UMEC Panel Committee. You will conceive and organize 2-3 panels a year, mostly composed of successful U of M alumni or at least centered around one. You will want to know what we have done in the past, what the areas of interest of our membership are, and what are the hot topics out in the industry, and try to create novel programs accordingly. Outsiders have always been invited to these to help cover location costs and fill up the audience, and entrance fee is charged, so we don't have to cater to everyone in our membership at once.

The work will be finding a good location to rent (we have a list of sources) or find one that is donated, organize food/drink for the reception if there will be one, to publicize in as many sources outside UMEC as possible, to find panelists and coordinate with them (with help/ideas from other UMEC members of course), and to collect bios from panelists both for publicity and to create a flyer program for the evening.
